All students completing degree requirements must submit the application for program completion form. Once the form is processed, students are placed on the commencement eligibility list and will receive the official, emailed invitation to RSVP. The link to submit your application can be found on the Registrar’s Program Completion & Commencement page.

The RSVP form will be sent to eligible students (those who submit the application for program completion form) in late October to their CSP email. The deadline is November 9.

Students who plan to participate in the upcoming December ceremony or who need it for picture opportunities only, will receive further instructions in early November.

- Students should arrive 45-60 minutes before the ceremony, dressed in their attire unless they are picking it up after check-in
- Doors will open to guests 1 hour before the ceremony
- The entire venue is handicap accessible
- The ceremony is approximately 90 minutes in length
- Flowers will be available for purchase
- Parking is free in the hotel lot
- A professional photographer will capture students receiving their pin and diploma cover on stage and have an individual photo taken.

- Each student will be able to invite 9 family and friends to celebrate their achievement.
- Tickets are not required for admission. Please do not invite more than this number so we can adhere to venue capacity.
- The ceremony will not be live streamed.

Honors listed in the commencement program will be estimated if your degree is not yet awarded and may change based on your final grades and cumulative GPA when your degree is awarded.
Undergraduate students who complete 60 or more credits at CSP and meet the following GPA requirements will earn Latin honors:
- 3.6 – 3.74 Cum Laude
- 3.75 – 3.89 Magna Cum Laude
- 3.9 – 4.0 Summa Cum Laude
Undergraduate students who complete 59 or fewer credits at CSP and meet the
following GPA requirements will earn honors:- 3.75 – 3.89 with Distinction
- 3.9 – 4.0 with High Distinction
Any honors earned at the time your degree is awarded will be printed on your transcript and diploma. If your degree is awarded after the commencement ceremony and your estimated honors changed, you may request to exchange your medallion or pin by contacting the Registrar’s Office at 651-641-8233 or [email protected].

Yes. The Registrar’s Office will review student records for degree awarding after final grades are posted to the student record (one week after the end of the term). This process can take 2-3 weeks.
The university prints diplomas monthly and sends a congratulatory email once that process is completed. An official transcript can be used as proof of degree. We highly encourage you to check your unofficial transcript prior to requesting the official.
Diplomas will be mailed to the permanent address on your student record.

The spring ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 17 and the summer ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
