Commencement & Pinning Ceremony

Concordia University, St. Paul, holds Commencement Ceremonies at the end of each quarter for the Bachelor of Science Nursing program in Denver. The celebrations are held at the DoubleTree Denver Tech Center (7801 East Orchard Rd. Greenwich Village, CO 80111) at 4:00 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes.

Ceremony dates for the upcoming 2026 academic year are listed below:

  • Winter Quarter – Sunday, March 22
  • Spring Quarter – Sunday, June 14
  • Summer Quarter – Sunday, August 30
  • Fall Quarter – Sunday, December 13

Commencement Information

  • Eligible students will receive an email in early February outlining ceremony information, timelines, and the RSVP form. Eligibility is determined based on a student’s anticipated graduation date and application for program completion status.

  • Students must secure their attire from the university’s approved vendor. The deadline to submit an attire order is Sunday, Feb. 22 at 10:59 p.m. (MST).

    • The attire link was emailed to students who submitted their RSVP on Feb. 10
    • Your complete package includes a gown, cap, and tassel.
    • You will receive pickup instructions the week before your ceremony.
    • Each student will be able to invite up to 12 family and friends to celebrate their achievement.
    • Tickets are NOT required for admission. Please do not invite more than this number so we can adhere to venue capacity.
    • The ceremony will NOT be live-streamed.
  • Honors listed in the commencement program will be estimated if your degree is not yet awarded and may change based on your final grades and cumulative GPA when your degree is awarded.

    Undergraduate students who complete 60 or more credits at CSP and meet the following GPA requirements will earn Latin honors:

    • 3.6 – 3.74 Cum Laude
    • 3.75 – 3.89 Magna Cum Laude
    • 3.9 – 4.0 Summa Cum Laude

    Undergraduate students who complete 59 or fewer credits at CSP and meet the following GPA requirements will earn honors:

    • 3.75 – 3.89 with Distinction
    • 3.9 – 4.0 with High Distinction

    Any honors earned at the time your degree is awarded will be printed on your transcript and diploma. If your degree is awarded after the commencement ceremony and your estimated honors changed, you may request to exchange your medallion or pin by contacting the Registrar’s Office at 651-641-8233 or [email protected].

  • Yes. The Registrar’s Office will review student records for degree awarding after final grades are posted to the student record (one week after the end of the term). This process can take 2-3 weeks.

    The university prints diplomas monthly and sends a congratulatory email once that process is completed. An official transcript can be used as proof of degree. We highly encourage you to check your unofficial transcript prior to requesting the official.

    Diplomas will be mailed to the permanent address on your student record.

  • All ceremonies will take place at 4 p.m. on the following dates.

    • Winter Quarter – Sunday, March 22
    • Spring Quarter – Sunday, June 14
    • Summer Quarter – Sunday, August 30
    • Fall Quarter – Sunday, December 13
