Minoring in Art History involves the study of the history and development of the visual arts. How do unusual media or subjects compare to masterworks in the western art tradition? What cultural contexts are revealed in ethnographic art from throughout the world? What theories and ideas underpin the current art world? You’ll develop knowledge of historical and contemporary visual traditions that are important to any art career field as you take 24 credit hours toward an art history minor in conjunction with a different bachelor’s degree major.
