The Vocational Curriculum Analysis Tool (Vo-CAT) is a self-assessment and planning guide designed to help university programs conduct clear, complete, and consistent analyses of written curricula, based upon the institutions vocational promise statement.
Specifically, the Vo-CAT
- Assesses how closely a majors curricula align with the universities common platform and language for vocational initiatives
- Analyzes content and student assessment components of a program’s curriculum that correspond to the institutional vocational statement
- Helps university programs or individual instructors identify changes needed in curricula
The results of the Vo-CAT can be used to enhance existing curricula or develop curricula that aligns with the institutions vocational statement. It is designed to be used by a committee or at the individual level.
