Adjunct Professor of Flute

Dr. Jennifer C. Kennard is the adjunct Professor of Flute of the Concordia University, St. Paul Music Department, where she has taught since 2010. In her teaching at Concordia, Dr. Kennard seeks to address both the technical component of flute playing as well as the musical and historical aspects of music, resulting in students who have a solid mastery of technique, an understanding of the historical context of their music, and the ability to express themselves and connect to the audience through their performances.
Dr. Kennard has taught in various capacities for over 15 years; her teaching experience includes flute lessons, flute choir, band, chorus, music theory, and music history. As an orchestral musician, Dr. Kennard has performed with the Minnesota, Chautauqua, Grand Rapids, Lansing, and West Shore symphony orchestras and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She has performed as a solo and chamber musician throughout the United States and in Australia.
