General Questions about Reopening Campus this Fall

  • Residence Life will have rooms set aside with a private bathroom for students living on campus. All students who become ill or are requested by Health Professionals to self-isolated are encouraged to contact SAS to arrange accommodations for academics, housing and meals.

  • We would follow the typical tuition & fees policy.

  • Residence Life will follow MDH recommendations on housing arrangements. All housing assignments will be completed by July 1.

  • CSP will follow recommendations from the CDC and MDH regarding mask-wearing. Students will need to provide their own masks and are encouraged to bring more than one so they can be washed between uses.

  • Student Life is prepared to host a variety of in-person and online events for all students. Current students have raved about online trivia platforms, social media engagement, and a variety of raffle items that can be won through online platforms. With large indoor and outdoor spaces, CSP has the capacity to host unique and engaging events both online and in-person. If numbers are limited, our plan is to host a larger overall number of events allowing smaller groups of students to engage throughout the week. These events will cater to commuters, residential students, athletes, graduate students, and online students.

  • Yes, this is already in place.

  • CSP will continue to follow the CDC and MDH guidelines.

This includes – more frequent cleaning of high use areas, EPA recommended cleaning products and encouraging faculty/staff/students to follow social distancing guidelines.

  • We will follow MDH guidance for move-in. Most likely we will assign specific time frames to each resident to move in. We will not have a move-in crew this year. We may have move-in bins available to halls that can use them and we will have staff clean them between use. We are hoping to have more information/guidance from MDH in early June/July.

  • Sodexo is working to have a cleaning kit for each classroom and the faculty member will be responsible for wiping down surfaces after each class.
