The Pre-Pastoral program at Concordia University, St. Paul equips students for success at a Lutheran seminary, where they receive their formal education for service in Word and Sacrament ministry.

The Pre-Seminary program involves taking coursework in Biblical studies, Greek, Hebrew and Christian doctrine. Students in the  program intend to attend seminary to become pastors after they graduate from CSP.The Pre-Seminary program prepares students for a career as a professional minister of the Gospel. You’ll work closely with a pre-pastoral advisor in choosing courses that position you for further study at a Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod seminary or other seminaries. You can choose from a wide variety of liberal arts majors that will help you gain the skills and knowledge necessary for seminary entrance and success.

Church Work Tuition Guarantee

Concordia University, St. Paul’s church work tuition guarantee ensures eligible students enrolled in church work programs will pay no more than $6,000 in tuition each academic year.
